Below is information about the 2018 Skowhegan Moose Festival, which was organized around Maine Inland Fisheries & Wildlife's annual moose lottery. The moose lottery changes locations each year. Check with the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife for information on the current year's location.

Free admission AND free parking!

  • Admission to the festival is free. All activities are free unless denoted with a $ symbol.
  • All activities take place on the Midway unless otherwise noted.

Friday, June 8

2-7 p.m.

  • Live radio broadcast with the Mix 107.9
  • Vendors including Operation Game Thief, outdoor retailers, food trucks, and more
  • Raffles for major prizes including Cabela's gear, a hand-crafted dog sled, and more (Constitution Hall) [1 ticket for $10, 3 for $25]
  • Exploratory activities for children
  • Archery and BB gun ranges
  • Moose Maine-iah monster truck rides [$5]
  • Beer garden (The Stable) [$ prices vary]

  • Maine Antique Power Association show, with tractor pulling 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

9 a.m.-5 p.m.

  • Face painting and antler headband making for kids
  • Raffles for major prizes including Cabela's gear, a handcrafted dogsled, and more (Constitution Hall) [1 ticket for $10, 3 for $25]

9 a.m.-7 p.m.

  • Moose Maine-iah monster truck rides [$5]

  • Retriever field and drill demos with Cabela’s Pro Staff
